I’m Derrick Phelps. I have spent over thirty years of my life earning respectable sums of money doing things that bored me to the brink of death. A victim of the success and financial indenture that typically accompanies rapid and sustained growth, I remained in the finance and real property career fields despite having a love and talent for writing.

Over the last five years, I have transitioned out of those career fields that require right-brained, linear, or mechanical thought and I have committed to allowing myself to spend this second half of my life earning an income by doing what I love to do, writing.
