As far as the tail of a raging wind is from her barely panting, blooming breath,
As incalculably divergent from one another as fire is from solid stone,
They share but a subtle trace of the rarity of our love.
While time waits for not even the worthiest of earthly kings,
And providence itself fades over endless hills of yesterday,
The permanent cord that binds our hearts
protects the eternity that we now keep.
The peaceful song of silent nights that soothes the wounds of troubled days,
The caressing hand of the rising sun that warms the marrow of long frozen bones,
And of all these thoughts, and their differences, and their similarities that can be vaguely tolled,
Bare witness to this love that has entwined our uncommon souls.
To all these things, all different, yet still indescribably the same,
Measures and monuments of the forever that we together claim.
